The hands of the king are healing hands, and thus shall the rightful king be known.
- JRR Tolkien

Dear friends,
Thank you for being with us last week as we had a lovely time celebrating All Saints and remembering those who’ve gone before us.

This weekend we join the Church of England, who names these weeks between All Saints and Christ the King as Kingdom Season — we proclaim Jesus as King, and rejoice. The CofE keeps these observances in red, because red is the liturgical color of sacrifice and service, leading to new and bolstered life and hope. It reminded me of this passage from JRR Tolkien about the healing hands of the King…

Saturday in the message Mthr Jen will help us think about and go deeper with these things, and she will share how our work at Anchor Point has this theological-spiritual foundation and rootedness.

And in that vein, join us as we partner with Anchor Bay on the weekend of November 21-22 for Serve Weekend. Notice especially the option to serve on Saturday with Three Sisters Farm — they have been a partner with us in our gardening project at Anchor Point, giving us some seeds and etc.

Peace,
Tim+
